Dear Diana...

Since I know she will read this!

Dear Di,
Please update your blog. I know things have happened in your life since October. You do not have to tell us everything. Just start over now. I know you read our blogs so you have not given up computers.

And, have you ordered a dress yet? Me either.

Love,

Nae

Grandma Cheever

Matt's grandmother, Maureen Cheever, passed away last night. She will be missed by many people who loved her and those she loved. She was one of those truly good people. So kind and thoughtful and smart and talented. She was an amazing quilter. She sent cards to the kids for every holiday. The boys enjoyed getting those cards in the mail. She made me feel welcomed and a part of the family from the very start of my marriage. She was such an example of strength and testimony. She served others happily and made people feel good.

Death is an interesting thing. Some times it is so tragic and unexpected and heart breaking. Sometimes, it is good and just the next part of life. Although we will miss Grandma, we know that she is happy and that it is actually better for her now than if she was still alive. She lived a good, happy, productive, long life. She is now unencumbered by a frail body. She is with her husband, parents, siblings... This morning Sullivan said our family prayer. He said, " we are grateful that Great Grandma was able to die." How often do you hear that? It is because of our knowledge of eternity and eternal families that my son can say that prayer.

We loved Grandma and were loved by her. She was a blessing to our family. It is a blessing to be part of her family.

High School Musical week

This is it! The week we have been dreading and looking forward to all at the same time. It is performance week. Madsen survived the all day dress rehearsal on Saturday. Rehearsals are going past 6:00 3 days this week. Thursday the performances begin. It will be fun. It is a good experience for him. I have learned not to volunteer for long term projects. The shows are Thursday, Friday and 2 times on Saturday. I get to go to rehearsal tomorrow and be back stage on Saturday. We did get free tickets for all my time and effort. We will be attending the show on Friday. I am quite anxious to see how it all turns out.

Disney is actually requesting release forms from all the parents so they can use photos/videos from our performance to promote their stage plays around the country. That is kind of cool.

There will be a professional videographer recording the show. We get to buy a copy of the dvd so that will be fun to have. I think Madsen will enjoy seeing the performance that way.

So, to all the Apex cast- Break a leg!

Year Supply

Cadbury Mini Eggs are my very favorite sugar coated chocolate treat. I love them! Unfortunately, they are only available during the Easter season. I have started to try to get a year supply so I can enjoy these tidbits all year long. One year they had huge bags at Sam's Club. I think I bought 7, and ate them all way before the year was up. With the Easter season upon us, they are now in stores. I am buying one bag every time I am in a store that sells them. I currently have 5 bags. I will need at least 12, if I can ration myself to one bag a month! This may be one item I over-achieve and have extra in storage.

Who am I kidding? They don't actually go to storage, they don't last a year, unless storing fat in my thighs that lasts forever counts!
